MSI's gaming laptops

MSI has unveiled three new gaming notebooks - the GX400, GX630, and GT735.


The 14.1-inch GX400 and 15.4-inch GX630 are based on Intel’s Centrino 2 mobile platform and feature Core 2 Duo processors and the Nvidia GeForce 9600M GT video cards. On the other side, the 17-inch GT735 is powered by AMD “Puma” technology, Turion X2 Ultra CPUs, and the ATi Mobility Radeon HD3850 dedicated graphics card.


The notebooks come with up to 4GB of DDR2 memory, up to 500GB of hard drive space, a DVD burner or Blu-Ray drive, built-in web camera, and HDMI output.


The GX400, GX630, and GT735 feature Turbo Drive Engine Technology, which enables users to increase the speed of the CPU when the laptop is in AC mode by pushing the turbo button.


There is also ECO Engine power management function that enables switching among 5 different operation modes – Gaming mode, Movie mode, Presentation mode, Office mode, and power saving Turbo Battery mode.


There is no information on pricing and availability of the new MSI gaming notebooks.

QUKAE GAMING LAPTOPS

CORE’s basic configuration brings a 15.4-inch display of 1280 x 800 pixels, an Intel Core 2 Duo T9300 processor clocked at 2.5GHz, the Intel GM45 + ICH9-M chipset, 160GB SATA 5400rpm hard drive upgradeable to 7200rpm, Crucial 1GB DDR2 memory, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, a super-multi drive for burning CDs and DVDs, Bluetooth, a 2MP web camera, and durable metal chassis themed on Enemy Territory QUAKE Wars or Quake 4.

At $2,699, the EPIC system has a larger display of 17 inches and 1680 x 1050 resolution, an Intel Core 2 Duo T9500 CPU at 2.6GHz speeds, Intel GM45 + ICH9-M chipset, Crucial 2GB DDR2-667 memory, 250GB SATA 5400rpm hard drive upgradeable to 7200rpm, NVIDIA GeForce 9600M GT graphics card, a DVD burner, Bluetooth, a built-in 1.3MP web camera and the themed encasing.
The NVIDIA graphics card model enables 3D imaging, intense video, DirectX 10 enhancements, and comes with
PureVideo HD technology, Hybrid SLI technology with HybridPower technology and GeForce Boost, CUDA support and NVIDIA PhysX-ready.

Acer Aspire Predator Gaming PC launched

This is quite possibly one of the meanest looking computers you will ever lay your eyes on. The Aspire Predator from Acer is their top of the line gaming machine, meant to aid you in your quest to destroy anything and everything that stands in your way, from Alien hordes to Danny Glover.

The front panel mechanically rotates up to expose the glorious innards, from hot-swappable HDDs to USB ports. Behind the connections (in the belly of the beast, perhaps?) you're inundated with the highest possible tech available, from the 4TB of hard disk space to the 8GB of RAM. The entire thing is powered by an Intel Core2 Extreme quad-core processor with 1333MHz FSB, while a two-way enabled NVIDIA SLI takes care of the graphics.

There's also liquid cooling and dual Gigabit LAN technology to completely eradicate lag from your fragfests.

Needless to say, all this tech will cost a pretty penny, and that pretty panny adds up to be $4,500. But if you're serious about your PC gaming, how can you really afford to not own one of these machines?

Asus's new Gaming Desktop

Asus looking to capture the burgeoning gaming PC market in India has released its ARES CG6155 desktop. This desktop seeks to combine an array of top-notch components to provide gamers with performance and stability.

The ARES CG6155 desktop boasts of an Intel Core 2 Extreme QX9650 processor, up to 8GB of DDR3 RAM and up to 4TB of storage space. This powerful specification is complimented by two power supplies, 3-way SLI with GeForce GTX280s and an NVIDIA nForce 790i Ultra board. The ARES CG6155 will be preloaded with Microsoft Vista Ultimate.

Instructions - Minimize or close all running applications. Launch Minesweeper, then type xyzzy. Next hold down either shift key for one second. Now when you move the mouse cursor over a Minesweeper square you will see a tiny white pixel in the top left corner of your desktop screen. This pixel will change to black when your mouse moves over a mine. You may need to change you desktop background to a solid color other then white or black to see the pixel.

Instructions - Press Alt + Shift + 2 during game play to instantly win.
Secret - Draw single cards in a Draw Three game
Instructions - Hold down CTRL + ALT + SHIFT while drawing a new card. Instead of drawing three cards you will only draw one.
Infinite Points
In the Windows XP version of solitaire, draw from the deck at least twice. Hold control and drag a card down from the deck. Click the “A” key and then let go of the left mouse key. You will get 10 points for this. Continue doing this for infinite points!
Infinite points trick II
To do this trick, finish a game of solitaire with the time bonus option on. The cards will start bouncing. Click on the solitaire screen and the play again box will pop up. Select no, so the solitaire screen is just blank green. Use the instant win cheat (Alt+Shift+2) and you will recieve the time bonus you got last game will be added to your last game’s score. For example, if your time bonus was 5000, and your final score was 6000, after using this glitch, you will have a score of 11000. This glitch can be used as many times as you want.
