At Computex Taipei 2008, the Taipei International Information Technology Show which will take place between June 3-7, Compro will showcase its VideoMate Vista U2800F Hybrid D/A Stick. This is a USB 2.0 interface hybrid DVB-T and analog TV/FM reception tuner stick with 1080i HDTV quality digital TV and universal analog TV watching/recording and FM radio support for your notebook or desktop computer.

If you have Windows Vista Premium or Ultimate installed on your laptop, the VideoMate Vista U2800F Hybrid D/A Stick with bundled Microsoft certified remote control for Windows Media Center, USB IR receiver, and Microsoft certified MPEG-2 encoder support DVB-T or universal analog TV watch/record in Vista Media Center.

The Picture Purifying Technology offers clear images on your computer with no need to open the system case for installation and you’d be able to benefit from a cool home entertainment center for digital/analog TV viewing, analog video/audio capturing, FM radio, and personal digital video recording.

In addition the VideoMate Vista U2800F Hybrid D/A Stick comes with the ComproDTV 4 software to help you with watching digital or analog TV shows, play the recorded files, timeshift live TV, channel surf, capture still frames, and S3 (standby)/ S4 (hibernation) mode power up scheduled recording for digital/analog TV.

Transport Stream is for recordings and playback of TV programmes while Video Desktop lets you setup the live TV screen in wallpaper mode to continue multi tasking.

The specification list says the device measures 9.4 x 3.2 x 1.8 cm, having a frequency range of 48.25 - 863.25 MHz; 6, 7, or 8 MHz bandwidth, and up to 720*480 resolution.
